So if there is one thing American hotels don't do quite so well it is breakfasts (well, apart from those which offer a make your own waffle machine). It is most definitely done better in a local diner/cafe. The best one we found in San Francisco already, seemingly, has a bit of a reputation. Photos on the wall, and I now find all over social media, show Pat's red clogs at various locations across the city. The woman serving us, therefore, we could only assume to be Pat herself (unless large red clogs are particularly common in this establishment).
In line with standard American portion sizes, Pat's offers a range of breakfast options, from pancakes to french toast to breakfast burritos. Go for one of the specials (either french toast or pancakes), which comes with eggs, bacon or sausage (above). The coffee isn't half bad either. It's great location within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf make it the perfect place to start the day in Frisco.
