Sunshine On Leith

Was lucky enough to get to a preview of a film coming out this week called Sunshine On Leith. It's a film adaptation of a musical based on the hits of The Proclaimers. Set in Edinburgh, there are some fantastic locations in the film, and once you get over the spontaneous bursting into song (Mamma Mia style) the film really brings to life the songs. 

Outstanding performances from some great young actors, as well as brilliant characters played by Jane Horrocks and Peter Mullan, make this a must see. It won't be as popular as Mamma Mia, but I would dare to say I enjoyed this a whole lot more. Then again, it's probably just because I'm more of a Proclaimers fan than an ABBA fan.
