In a music industry driven by the modern day prerequisites of fame, money and image, to be able to come out with consistently excellent music without any of this arguably damaging baggage is by no means easy. In 2011, Laura Marling quietly and awkwardly accepted the Brit Award for Best British Female. She has just received her third Mercury Prize nomination, for her fourth album, Once I Was An Eagle. She is also planning a fifth album for next year. Oh yeah, and she is only 23. So check out her latest offering, it will get you hooked on her amazing voice. I only wish she wasn't so fame hungry.
